Looking forward to the Puffin Festival

The puffins are here, the weather looks great, and we hope we’ll see you all at the Puffin Festival this weekend.

The usual quirky mix of family fun, environmental and heritage walks and talks, and some great live entertainment are on offer over the weekend.

The fair and stalls are in the Town Square along with children’s entertainment, plus the ever popular live stream of the Coquet Island puffins. On Saturday lunchtime you can meet one of the RSPB Coquet Island rangers, who can answer all your puffin-related questions.

Saturday also sees the wonderful dog show, bird watching, and bio security dog demos on the Braid.

On Sunday at the Little Shore, join Ice Viking Fenwick Ridley and swimmers for the Big Splash, in a celebration of Little Shore being awarded bathing water status.
