Dog owners fined over fouling

Two dog owners who let their dogs foul in the streets have been issued with fixed penalty notices of £50 by a county council dog warden He had witnessed the owners allowing their dogs to foul in public places without clearing up afterwards.

Councillor Alan Thompson, executive member for public protection, said that he hoped this sent out a clear message to the small number of irresponsible dog owners. Anyone with information that could help the council track down dog fouling offenders, should contact the customer service line on 0845 600 6400. Calls will be treated  in the strictest of confidence.
