Retirement

Retirement comes to most folk when working life is done.
We all should make the most of it before our race is run.
You never know how you’ll react when you look ahead:
Some look on leisure with delight, and some a kind of dread.
The secret is to take your time, not look for things to do.
Somehow pleasures come along – things just right for you.
My retirement came along a quarter-century ago.
I’d no idea how I’d cope with all that time, and so
I happily accepted that I couldn’t go for wealth.
Just find the things that really count – Contentment, Peace and Health
